Acetaminophen - a drug used to treat osteoarthritis.
Arava® - a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug that works by inhibiting the formation of the immune cells, which lead to inflammation.

Corticosteroid - a drug used to treat osteoarthritis.
COX-1 enzyme - a natural enzyme that protects the lining of the stomach.
COX-2 enzyme - a natural enzyme that causes inflammation characteristic of arthritis.
COX-2 inhibitors - a new class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat arthritis.
Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs - drugs used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
Glucosamine and chondroitin - compounds found naturally in the body that can be used to treat arthritis.
Immunosuppressant - drugs used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Meningitis - serious and potentially fatal inflammation of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) - drugs used in the treatment of arthritis.
Osteoarthritis - the most common type of arthritis in the U.S. Osteoarthritis is characterized by cartilage deterioration in the joints and the formation of bone spurs.
Rheumatoid arthritis - an autoimmune disorder that causes chronic inflammation of the joints.
